Family Weekend
by Daniel Mony
Meet Amy Jamieson. Amy is attractive, intelligent, has a good job, a nice apartment and a loving boyfriend, Simon Perry. She is also one of the most accident prone people you could ever meet, and throughout her life has been plagued by minor misfortunes and mishaps.
Unfortunately, when Amy accompanies Simon (who plans to propose to her) to Boston to meet his large family for the Independence Day weekend, most members of the snobbish, overbearing and dysfunctional Perry family take an instant dislike to the nervous newcomer, and Amy finds herself in one embarrassing and disastrous situation after another.
Will Amy and Simon still be together, let alone engaged, by the end of the weekend?

Life In lotun
by Ken Jakins
You have this book because you are a member
by birth of, or married into, the Jakins clan. Dad
wrote this for his own amusement but it has so
much more. It is Dad telling his stories in his own
inimitable way, making us laugh by keeping the
family history alive.
If you don’t know the place
names – try Google, if you don’t know the family
names ask one of us more ‘mature’ members of
the family. Take your time reading this, and above
all - ENJOY!

Emotions in Poetry
By Rebecca Ann Pryor
Shortly after, within the year my Nanna passed away, due to suffering brain tumours. I was very
sad when she died, so this is when I decided I will publish my poetry book.
I sometimes thought
I could hear her speak to me, like she did at the bingo that night. My Nanna (Florence Louise
Southern) is my number 1 inspiration to do Emotions in Poetry.

I'm No Hero But I Can Save Your Kids Life
by Dave Wallis
We've all seen ambulances flying through the streets and I'm sure most of you have often wondered who was inside, where they were going?
Being behind the Blue lightsand sirens for twenty years with the London Ambulance Service, both on the road and with the Air Ambulance, DaveWallis has delivered babies in the back of cars, been abused by drunks, involved in major disasters. He has seen the strange, the stupid, the comic and the tragic, how vulnerable we all can be when our defences are down; but most of all he has seen what it means to be human.

The Lure of Noma
By Darshi Arachige
Can we see the path to religion from a different angle? In this book, while searching for answers, we construct a case about the uniquely human origin of religion. This ingenuous human invention should be left alone to follow its own course. The adherence to NOMA is the best way to achieve this and appreciate the elegance of yet another human creation. |
